In ancient times the Hearth was considered sacred and symbolized the centre of the house.....
In a recent meditation I recieved a message
"Feel as though you are the Centre..... you are the Hearth.....How you represent yourself is important, think about it
carefully"
Vesta was always shown as a flame of fire, never a statue or picture until eventually she was shown on Roman coins where
she was shown as wearing a veil so her face was always slightly hidden, only a shadow was shown.
Vesta was a symbol, a symbol of the Roman Society, depicted as fire. This fire was taken care of by The Vestal
Virgins, if the fire died out it was thought it would be the end of Roman Society.
